Smashwords Interview

Who are your favorite authors?
J. R. R. Tolkien, Raymond E. Feist, David Eddings, George R. R. Martin, Jim Butcher... so many more. King and Koontz go alright too.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
I read the Hobbit when I was very young, but didn't really get it until I read it again years later. Because I was too young at the time it didn't really stick in my mind like another book I read when I was 9. Adventures With My Worst Best Friend, by Max Dann. I loved that book. The sense of adventure and danger really took me away, as well as the idea that people, no matter how nasty they might seem, can turn out to be quite different than you once thought if you have the opportunity to get to know them.
