Michael Parrish is a modern day renaissance man and is nearly impossible to categorize. He was born in Kansas City, and was raised in Belton Missouri. He is a universal and multi-talented artist, who is only limited by his own desire to create and to explore different artistic/entrepreneurial endeavors and challenges.
Accomplished. performer, actor, comedian, musician/songwriter, motivational speaker, businessman/entrepreneur and most recently published author, “The Official How to Man Up Book” Amazon/Kindle.
1995-present he has been a consultant and “hired-gun” to many Food and Beverage/Entertainment venues. He has personally owned, and operated several successful restaurants’ and nightclubs; specifically the famous “Michael’s Bar and Nightclub” in Kansas City, which for many years was one of the top clubs in the nation.
He is a multi-award winning performer in numerous and diverse categories. Such as being voted “Three Time Kansas City Missouri Entertainer/DJ of the Year” 1991, 92, 93 by The Squire Magazine
Also the recipient of the prestigious “The Best of Las Vegas, Lounge Performer of the Year”, four years running by The Las Vegas Review-Journal 2002,2003,2004,2005 in their on-line poll. In 2006, he was a semi-finalist in the “Nashville Star” country music television show where he competed against 2,500 other aspiring country artist’s and was one of the top ten chosen. His remarkable un-relenting four-octave voice is dynamic, extremely versatile and powerful. And as a live performer, Michael has been called electrifying and “simply un-stoppable.” -Tony Curtis.
He creates excitement, and exudes an effortless natural charisma and charm that is enjoyed by men and women of all ages. Variety would be an understatement and he delivers it with extreme confidence and intensity. Michael has appeared in numerous movies, commercials, and on radio and television. He is a member Screen Actors Guild and has headlined doing stand up at comedy clubs such as the Star Theater in Phoenix Arizona.
Originally re-locating to Las Vegas Nevada to follow his life long dream of making it in the “Entertainment Capitol of the World,” he was told by top-agents that his chances of performing on the strip in Vegas was impossible or minute at best. They were all wrong. Because as Michael humbly says…“the fans are the ones who decide, and they cant be tricked or fooled and they know what they like…they are the ones who decide.”
Michael currently resides in Las Vegas Nevada with his wife of 23 years and is the father of seven children. He is a self-confessed “rebel and maverick,” who does not follow or fit the corporate mold, or that of the typical artist/entrepreneur…and he likes it that way. He has just completed writing a pilot for a reality based television show; about the chaos of what its like living in Las Vegas and facing the challenges of balancing a career and a large family in “Sin City.”
What ever it is that drives him it must be working; because as the old saying goes, “they either have it or they don’t” and what ever “it” is, Michael Parrish has it…and he has it in spades.
