Alan MacKenzie

Hi, my name is Alan MacKenzie – but you already knew that. I was born in London, England, too late for the Rock-n-Roll fifties and too early for the Swinging Sixties. This is probably why I studied Process Plant Engineering and became an Oil & Gas Control Systems Engineer and not the next great pop star. However, engineering has given me the opportunity to work not only in the UK, but Europe, the Middle East, Russia and North Africa. (Adrenalin junkies should try flying Aeroflot – it puts bungee jumping into perspective). I’ve had a rich and enjoyable life, even more so now that I have settled in Southern England with my beautiful and very supportive wife.

My other passion has always been writing. Until now my professional writing career consisted of uninspiring technical documents, but my private writing career is far more exciting. I love the action thriller and horror genres. Oh to have the power to place characters in perilous, unpredictable situations and journey with them to their conclusion!

I would like to share these journeys with you so my debut novel ‘Time’s up’ is now available. If you have purchased, or are thinking of purchasing it, I wish you as much enjoyment reading it as I had writing it (and if you do please leave a positive review).

A weapon so powerful, it could change the world's balance of power and even history itself. As the lines blur between Government and Terrorist, agent Samantha Whittaker takes a stand for good against evil and the hunters become the hunted.
