My Magic Box by Kit Wright was the inspiration. We studied the poem and the children from a primary school in Swindon wrote their own versions using their imagination. A sample: I will put in my box… A pig that’s pink surfing on peppermint waves. A man on the moon flying on a balloon. A swift swish of the last red fox.

Chocolate was the topic and children from a Swindon primary school wrote poems using their five senses. Some were literal, some were not. The best lines from the entire class were made into an ebook. A SAMPLE: It feels like a big bar of happy. It smells beautiful and sweet. It sounds peaceful and quiet. It tastes like a cloud above. Chocolate is a dreamy centre full of dreams.
