This is a great fantasy book. Very original story line and well developed characters. Young love, unknown, developing powers, good and bad guys of course. Can't wait to see what happens next.
  • Once Bitten (Alexa O'Brien Huntress Book 1) on June 04, 2012

This book has a lot going on. You have vampires, were's, witches, demons and a love triangle. Alexa is confused, she feels something between herself and her friend Shaz, another were, but she has incredibly strong feelings for Arys an ancient and powerful vampire. Her mentor is a witch/demon? who warns her about getting involved with the vampire. Her best friend and roomate Kylarai is full of advice as well and is a very likeable character. What kind of trouble is she going to get into and who will she choose. Read it and find out because I'm not telling. This book is really good. I completely enjoyed reading it.
  • The Conduit on June 12, 2012

Wow, this book was fantastic. From the very first page, I could not put it down. I don't want to give to much away but the synopsis is 3 siblings move in with their grandmother and wierd stuff begins happening, first to middle sis Celeste, then to big bro Gabe and little sis Kendall. They find out that they are special and have a specific mission to complete. There are quasi angels, gryphon,a bad guy that defies logic, and the three siblings all battling to see wether good or evil prevails. This book is very well written, the author knows how to keep it interesting throughout and you will fall in love with all of the characters. Wait until you meet Grams. LOl Great for Adults or Young Adults.
  • Midnight Hunter Book One in the Midnight Hunter Trilogy on June 16, 2012

She has to stay alive as she sorts through all of the drama, with the help of Hunter, she may just make it.
  • Crescent Bound on June 24, 2012

Alyssa is a fire elemental, she belongs to one of the most powerful witches covens, which her father is the head of. Alyssa and her 2 best friends attend regular high school until they graduate, then they get to go to the witches school. Alyssa meets Marc at school, thing is she and her friends are cloaked, for the most part noone should be able to see her. Turns out mark is adopted and came from a witching family, he just didn't know if. As Alyssa a Marc become closer, her fire element turns into his ice element. In the story line are exes that are bad, bad news and racing, magic and *sexual content. But I love the story and can't wait to see what happens next.

  • Raven Bound on July 05, 2012

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review. This book starts right where Crescent Bound left off. Alyssa is healing from the accident at the end of the last book, Marc by her side. I can't say too much without giving some pertinant things away. Alyssa, Marc, David,Megan,Dawson and Aylssa's dad all go to England. While there Alyssa is kidnapped by a Dark Coven of witches, they want her power. She is drugged, beaten and brainwashed until she doesn't remember anything about herself. There is only one ray of hope for her while held captive, Evan, one of her guards, is actually nice to her and seems to care about her welfare. Marc is going insane almost to the point of self destruction. Her father is tapping all of his resources, and everyone is just hanging on by a thread. Will her coven get to her in time to save her and if they do, will she even remember them? Just as good as the first book, and again has some sexual content.
  • Birth of a Wizard on July 14, 2012

This is the sequal to The Energy, the story of Brighton and Lillian continues. This book is an action packed, non stop, can't put down read. The story of Brighton,Lilly, their children and friends will keep you emotionally entangled in the story. You liked them in Energy, now you will love them. This book is full of action, heroes, developing powers, inner struggles, a love story and new characters you will love as well. I do urge you to read the first book before this as I think it has much needed info. This is a fantastic book that you will not soon forget.
  • Oh Cherry Ripe on July 15, 2012

Ok, so to be honest, I normally won't read any kind of historical novel, don't care what kind it is. I was given this book for review so I made myself read it. Guess what? I actually enjoyed it. The characters are funny as are the situations that come up. Cherry is a modern day woman, when she shouldn't be. She is being forced into a marriage, not for love, but by arrangement. She runs away to find her nanny and runs into Sky, who is on his way to meet the woman he has asked to marry. They have an instant attraction and don't realize they are each others intended. Even if you aren't a fan of historical romance, it's still a fun, easy read and I actually enjoyed it.
  • Shadowlove-Stalkers on July 16, 2012

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review. Ok wow, this book has a lot going on. Half vamp, half witch Shawna is on the run from her crazy, evil vampire father who wants to turn her all the way into a full vamp. Shawna is a white witch and although she needs blood for her vampire side, she only consumes animal blood from the butcher. She wants nothing to do with him. She runs to Scotland to a little rental cottage owned by a gentleman squire. He seems quite nice but a little off. She has been approached by Chadwick, who claims to want to help her, but she doesn’t know or trust him. She also keeps running into an old acquaintance named Damon, He’s vamp, but he’s also something else too, but for some reason, she trusts him. Throughout this book, she is stalked by vampires and electric entity’s amongst other things. Chad says he wants to help her, train her, and defeat her father. She can’t figure out exactly what he is either and isn’t sure if she trusts him, but there is a major attraction between them that can’t be ignored. After a series of close calls, Shawna agrees to train with Chad. But will she have time to hone her skills before her father finds and tries to change her or the entity gets her? Her old friend Damon will come into play during the story as well as DRACULA! Great book, must read.
  • Shee Willow-Legend on July 24, 2012

Willow Lang is hired by Squire Shayne to restore his paintings, she is attracted to him immediately. Willow is half fae half human seer. She steers clear of all things fae due to bad experiences as a halfling child. Her father Desmond is missing, she is fighting monsters, finding relics, dealing with advances from men, and trying to figure out who she can trust. It seems like everyone she comes in contact with has secrets. She doesn't know who to trust. On top of all of that, an evil seelie fae, trapped in unseelie is trying to open a portal to escape and release all the evil unseelie into the human realm. Will she find someone to trust in, as well as helping the seelie, or will she turn her back on all of it. Great story, very interesting characters, several different love angles, and an all around good read.
  • Guardian on July 27, 2012

I was given this book in return for an honest review. This story starts 5 years before the Salem witch trials and ends in the early 21st century. Hannah is The Guardian, she's responsible for keeping all the supernatural beings in order. She is also a healer, a witch, and an immortal(she can be killed like any other human though she just doesn't die a natural death). Hannah and Gabriel are best friends and a little something more, she thinks he is long dead, but still thinks of him everyday. Bernard, is a Warlock, who has always loved Hannah's mother and who is always there for Hannah. Hannah makes decisions through the years that have consequences. Revenge, burnout, sorrow, all have played a part in her decisions. She has to find a way to come back and right the problems that her decisions have caused. While doing so she is going to come against some nasty creatures as well as finding some old friends, and some long buried secrets. This book has Nephilym, vampires, werewolves, mermaids, fairies, witches, and a great story, that keeps you pinned to the book. Wonderful!!
  • The Winged Things on Aug. 12, 2012

I was given this book in return for an honest review. This book is a short story, so I will keep my review short as well. The power is out, citizens band together in street and are attacked by leathery winged, black eyed, clawed flying creatures. They run to a house to collect their wits. A stranger shows up and they all decide to make a run for the church that has supplies for the homeless. Some make it, some don't. Angels and Demons and a nice short read
  • Wilted (A Witching Pen Novellas Prequel) on Aug. 12, 2012

I was given this book in return for an honest review. Wilted is the prequel to the Witching Pen novella. It will give you a brief background on the main characters from the book. Elena and Karl who are best friends and share Elena's secret. She is a 13th generation witch and possible the most powerful witch ever. Her mother also holds a secret, one that could shatter everything and everyone. Super easy read.
  • BECOME (Desolation #1) on Aug. 16, 2012

I was given this book in return for an honest review. Desolation (Desi) lives in hell, literally. She is the only daughter of Satan. His second in command trains Desi constantly and viscously. They want her to BECOME, but become what? She is resistant to it and is sent to earth to stay with some of her fathers minions. Nobody knows who she is or what she is except for her fathers people. Her lack of people skills and socialization is explained away with a story about her coming from a distant land and being the next heir to the throne. Desi only has one person on earth she trusts and counts as a friend, Lucy. There is an unfortunate set of circumsances that lead to a death and Desi losing control and BECOMING. Desi is having visions called Remembering, they are of another her, another place, another time, and a lover. Starting a catholic school is hard enough, but her father gives her a target that he wants, a girl named Miri, Desi resists what he wants because she finds that she actually likes Miri. On top of that, a boy at school named Michael, is the boy in her Rememberings. A lot happens in this book so I will just say that there is a group called The Hallowed that work for the greater good and are a mixture of angels, fallen and demons, that wants Desi on their side. She is told that her father plans to start the Apocolypse and they need her to help them stop it. Desi is torn apart inside because she is convinced she is evil because of the BECOMING, but she also feels things with these people that she has never felt before. Desi will soon find that she has more in common with them then she thought, there are secrets within secrets that could alter the course of everything and everyone. She will have to make some very hard choices and decisions on her road to redemption. You have to read this, it's so very original and such an interesting story. I loved it.
  • Eternal Breath of Darkness on Aug. 20, 2012

I was given this book in return for an honest review. Haden is a warrior and a demon. Unlike other demon stories, in this book the demons have been protecting the humans since the beginning. Haden is obsessed, in love and wants to mate with Caylee. Unfortunately due to a vicious attack on Caylee, she cannot stand to be touched. Now a powerful vampire, who has the assistance of a very powerful demon, is after her. I wanted to turn Caylee over my knee because she is so stubborn and won't listen to anything Haden says. It's hard to protect someone who never listens (anyone with kids can relate, LOL). The danger isn't just from the vampires though, her own uncle is a horribly abusive person who uses her attack to control her. Will Haden ever get her to trust him enough to follow his intstructions, can they be together forever as mates, or will her obsessive inner demons get her killed or worse? Sorry, you have to read it yourself to find out. I loved this story, Caylee's character, even though I wanted to smack her, was actually a more realistic portrayal of a victim than most. She didn't just instantly get over her past when confronted with a hot guy. I liked that. You find yourself rooting for Haden, Caylee and Haden's team of demons. I loved it. WaAr

  • Desolate (Desolation #2) on Sep. 28, 2012

I was given this book in return for an honest review. Desolation is back and so are her cohorts, Miri, James, Longinus,Knowles, and Cornelius. Desi is in despair due to her only love, Michael, being sent to hell because of her. She is desperate to find a way to get him back. It happens sooner than she thinks. Miri is having her prophetic dreams about the apocolypse and how Desi is the only one that can stop the horsemen. Desi does come up against the 4th horseman, guess who?? Michael, they wound each other with the spear of destiny. She wakes to find Michael injured and still evil from his time spent in hell, so she puts her mother's protective necklace around his throat, which begins to seap the evil from him. She is now unprotected against her father. She will fall farther and farther away from her mission and her friends as the story progresses. By the end of the book she has fallen fully into her roll as Desolation the daughter of Lucifer and is commanding his army. Michael get help from an unlikely source, Asgard (kind of like heaven) He also has an army, it includes Desi's mother's sister, Fahria, and the rest of thier group. They won't give up on Desi. She is wearing a ring that has to be removed if Michael is to ever get through to her and get his Desi back. Friends will be lost, can they succeed in saving Desi from her herself as well as her father? Or will she be the bringer of the apocolypse. I love this series, Desolation is a girl that is so torn, so filled with guilt over things that have happened in the past, yet so good deep down. She wants to do the right thing and hates her father. This is just a great series. WaAr
  • Project ELE on Sep. 28, 2012

I was given this book in return for an honest review. The basic overview is that a virus is killing everyone, over half the planet has perished. The government has built shelters, you have to pass inspection and get an imunization before entering. The government plans on heating up the earth to kill the virus and anyone outside of the shelters will most likely die. Willow and her family are on their way in, infortunately her baby brother tests positive for the virus and will have to stay outside along with her mother. Willow and her father go on alone. Inside is everything to meet your basic needs, the kids work part time and go to school part time and the adults work full time. All communication from the leaders to the people, appts, work schedules, free days, etc)are on tablets that everyone has to carry with them at all times. Willow makes friends with Conner, Claire and Alec. They all soon discover that the rich rule the roost. Zack and his crew of rich brats don't have to work, have fantastic quarters and are mean as can be. Willow and her friends find a secret cavern while exploring and make it their special hangout. Everyone has settled into a routine when the kids start exhibiting special abilities, Willow more so than the others. Zack knows and he has them too. Pretty soon there is double crossing and the kids will find out that there is more going on in the shelter than could ever imagine and their only hope is to escape or become lab rats. The ending is a fantastic suprise and leaves the book open for a sequel. I loved this book. I started reading and couldn't put the book down. The characters are well developed and the story has a great flow. There are no dull moments in the book, even when it is desdribing day to day activities, the author has made everything interesting. Fantastic job. I want more and can't wait for the next book that I am sure will be coming. WaAr

I was given this book in return for an honest review. Ok, so normally I'm not a huge fan of historical fiction, however, once I got past my prejudice, I found that this was a well written, entertaining book. Cherry is headstrong, boyish, independant, and modern female. She would have done well in todays society. Her step mother tells her that she has arranged a marriage with a suitable gentleman and Cherry sees red as she wants to marry for love. She runs away, planning on going to her old nanny's for help. On the way, she runs into Sky, he is a well to do young man, who has requested a woman's hand in marriage, having never met her and needing help in caring for his younger siblings. They have an instant chemistry. I think you can tell where this is going. This book is chock full of humor, Cherry is entirely to headstrong for it not to be. Go check it out even if you aren't a huge fan of historical fiction. I enjoyed it.
