    “Cavalier’s Call” is a well written story of the history of Portugal's fourteenth century kingdom with captivating tales of its battles towards freedom. It highlights the day by day customs, conventions and lifestyle of the times. The vivid elements, the young royal son, second in order for the throne, constructs this novel a greatly suspenseful peruse, as it portrays the ascent of a kingdom in dangerous times. The tale begins with the regal bond amidst father and the tot (illustrious son), apparently being tidied for the destiny throne. It is a speedy-paced, heart-invigorating movement experience from start to close, where father tests his son in essence's encounters, and enlightens him the abilities important to secure him and serve his kingdom, with pride and equity. It highlights the sum total of his fulfillments and his ascent to control. The novel is a multifaceted and grasping story and a must read for all.
