Dr. William Russo has been a long-time professor of film studies at a college near Boston, Mass. Mr. Jan Merlin is a notable stage and screen actor, winner of an Emmy for writing. He also received the Southern California Motion Picture Council award for his lifelong work in film.

Russo and Merlin also write independently, both fiction and non-fiction.

Their work has been published by "Long Time Ago Books and Films" as well as the New England Vintage Film Society.
