For an author writing is as necessary as breathing. They don't write for money or to court literary fame, but because they believe they have something to say. It matters not that anyone will read or listen, the words must be written, and if in the process someone is blessed -- all the more wonderful

Married, with three sons, three daughter-in-laws, and three grandchildren, Dr. Perkins has enjoyed the fruit that comes through life's struggles. No journey worth traveling is without obstacles, but the joy of seeing new generations grow in love and grace has made it all worthwhile.

Dr. Perkins has a Bachelors of Science in Bible, a Masters of Biblical Education and a Doctorate of Education. He hopes that through his writing he will inspire the imagination to a deeper wonder of God's creation. Dr. Perkins also wants to challenge conventional thinking that binds men's hearts and keeps them from the deeper things of God.

What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
The research. From the research springs characters and plot. From the moment I begin reviewing background material images start to form in my mind, and from their the story develops.
What do your fans mean to you?
I wish I knew who my fans are, because each time a person reads one of my books they glimpse a part of me. To know them would add to the wealth of my own experience.
