Rising Shadow (The Soterians Series Book #1) by Jacquelyn Wheeler is a book you can not put down until you have finished the last page. It may start off a bit slow but after chapter one the story starts heating up as we follow the main character Ashlyn as she finds out she has supernatural abilities and starts to train with 4 other people that seem to have different supernatural abilities to Ashlyn. The story then follow Ashlyn and the others who are now called "soterians" to learn how to use and control their supernatural abilities while doing some detective work to save the world they know from being put into total chaos by a governor. I found that Rising Shadow (The Soterians Series Book #1) by Jacquelyn Wheeler was very interesting and also a very enjoyable read. I suggest anyone that likes a book that keeps you guessing and on your toes throughout, needs to get there hands on a copy of Rising Shadow (The Soterians Series Book #1) by Jacquelyn Wheeler. I happily give this book: A 5 Star Rating. CAUSE IT WAS AMAZING, I THINK YOU SHOULD READ IT AND I WANT TO GET MY HANDS ON THE NEXT BOOK ALREADY? Nathan Wrann's first book "Dark Matter Heart" was a bit slow in the first few chapters for me, but Nathan sure did make up for it later in the book. The main characters Cor Griffin and his mother have just moved from L.A. to the Pacific Northwest to help with Cor's allergies, that he received after having a accident when he was younger, but it's not just Cor and his mother that have made the move to Pacific Northwest, something or someone has followed them and with every new person that Cor meets, starting to turn up dead the very next day. Cor and his new friend Taylor from school needs to find out who's behind the murder's and why, before the police come after Cor. Dark Matter Heart takes a bit to get going but once it starts the book is a addictive read. While reading Dark Matter Heart I found that the story and the characters in it kept me on my toes as the story took me though a few twists and turns as it built for a massive action packed ending worthy of a film. I give Dark Matter Heart By Nathan Wrann 4 out of 5 stars. I wanted to give Dark Matter Heart By Nathan Wrann 5 stars cause I can not wait to see where Nathan Wrann will take Cor in the next book, but the first few chapters were what made me want to give up on reading the book. Which I'm so glad that I didn't, cause I really liked the story and the characters a lot. So I recommend you try reading Dark Matter Heart By Nathan Wrann.
