Phyllis Rumore

Biography

Phyllis has had small publications in the past for a variety of magazines and journals. The Dragon Within His Shadow is her first major work of fiction. She has also written short stories, plays and poetry. In the past she was the featured poet at the Backfence in NYC Greenwich Village. Her photographs have been part of group exhibitions in New York City, including at the National Arts Club. Her play Stored Lives was read/produced Off-Off-Off-Broadway.

Her passion for writing has always been a factor in her life as has her curiosity, which saw her studying Chemistry and Mathematics in college and grad school. Unfortunately, there were not many job opportunities when she completed her studies and so she began her working life as a secretary for a major bank. She didn't remain long in that position as she was promoted quickly and soon focused her career in financial trading software development as a Business Analyst and on occasion as a Project Manager specializing in foreign exchange, commodities and related topics such as back office and accounting.
