Despite being a professional writer for over thirty years, Intersect is the author’s first novel. For twenty of those years Peter Mackie enjoyed parallel careers as an advertising copywriter and radio dramatist. For the latter, he contributed many original plays and adaptations of classical works to both the BBC and many European stations. In addition, he was part of The Archers writing team at Pebble Mill in Birmingham. Since coming to live in France over fifteen years ago, he has abridged the works of others for audio CDs and it is probably this activity more than any other that spurred him on to write his own novel.

This fast-moving thriller centres round a professional blues singer who, after serving a prison sentence, starts a security business using the unique skills of her fellow ex-cons. This leads to a somewhat dubious but highly lucrative assignment in which she is set up as the number one suspect for a multi-million international financial scam.
