Smashwords Interview

What are you working on next?
I am currently taking a rest from the Reverend Lyle Thorne mysteries and am working on a Study Guide for "Animal Farm" by George Orwell and have just finished a Study Guide for "The Grapes of Wrath" by John Steinbeck. The latter should soon be available as an eBook.
Who was the greatest influence in your early writings?
As a former high school teacher, I have read a lot of Young Adult fiction much of which is excellent. My particular favorites would be Paul Zindel, Robert Cormier, and Lois Duncan. Given their audience, these writers have to move the plot along quickly, which is what I try to do.
