Rebecca D. Bruner is an author, wife, mother, Bible teacher, and conference speaker with over thirty years’ experience in women’s ministries. She has a passion for helping women embrace God’s “very good” design for themselves and their families. Her non-fiction book, A Wife of Valor: Your Strategic Importance in God’s Battle Plan, was a contest finalist for the 2017 Excellence in Editing Award.

Rebecca serves as treasurer for Christian Writers of the West, the Arizona Chapter of American Christian Fiction Writers, and as secretary for the Mesa Christian Writers Fellowship critique group.

A member of the inaugural class of the Flinn Scholars, Rebecca graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in English Literature from Arizona State University, and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa honor society in 1990. As an undergraduate, she was fascinated by medieval literature. Her favorite modern author is C.S. Lewis. She is especially fond of his Chronicles of Narnia series and Till We Have Faces.

Rebecca’s primary goal in writing fiction is to share her joy in telling stories with people who will find joy in reading them. She yearns to give readers a fresh perspective on God’s timeless truths and challenge them to apply those truths to their daily lives.

In addition to writing, Rebecca’s favorite pastimes include walking barefoot in the grass, baking cookies, and riding her bicycle around the lake near her home. She loves art museums, live theater, and traveling.

Rebecca has two adult children, who make her very proud. She lives in Arizona with her husband.
