Since I read so much in the genre of fantasy / scifi, despite a slight bumpy beginning,where I struggled a bit to get my bearings, I soon slipped easily into this world. Though I felt a tad lost at first, I soon found myself eagerly following the characters and their escapades. They developed well, and soon, I pictured them and their world in my mind, and the tale pulled me along.The fantasy elements, combined with the ancient culture touched with the futuristic, intrigued me and helped me over the small hump of confusion at the start.The erotic elements wove well through the tale, as an integral part of the culture. I do feel that more setting and cultural detail shown in the beginning may have alleviated my first impression of confusion. However,that said, what matters is how I felt at the end. . .HUNGRY for more!
