Roy Jenner


Biography

Roy Jenner was born in London in 1934 and has travelled the world. His youth was spent on the streets of East London and in hopfields of Kent from dockland to Dartford. As a young man he worked the meat markets of London where he learned the retail meat industry from the best in the trade. When called to arms in 1952 he served three years with Her Majesty’s Armed Forces, two of those years on active service in the Suez Canal Zone of Egypt. He and his wife wife settled in New Zealand in 1963 and are still settled there.He finds New Zealand a good place to be. There he worked every facet of the meat industry until the mid-eighties when he moved into home sales with the top real estate company in New Zealand - HARCOURTS. His success with them is well documented. He and wife Mary have 4 sons, 8 grandsons and 3 granddaughters. Roy has a strong appreciation of music and fulfilled a dream a few years back when travelling to Memphis and Nashville. He found the experience was worth the wait. Roy enjoys writing and finds age doesn't weary him and his enthusiasm for writing is evident in his pages. He has one other crime novel published - On The Lip Of A Lion - a thriller set in Auckland NZ - available as a paperback - ISBN1-877315-13-3. Many people have enjoyed it and there is definite promise of more to come as he continues to write.
