Biography

I was born and raised in NJ I am the son of Puerto Rican parents. My parents move to NJ from PR shortly after getting married. I was born shortly after. I have 2 younger siblings, twins, Eric and Erica. Growing up I was a simple child who never asked for much. I didn't ask for anything because my imagination provided me with everything I would ever need. I was considered a dreamer by all of my teachers, but I never thought that was a bad thing. I was initially very shy until I got older and stopped caring what others thought of me. I was who I was, you either liked me or you didn't. I have been called weird, quirky, funny and trustworthy, all titles I hold dear. I wrote the short Story of the Foundlings when I was still in High School and it was not till much later that I fully developed it into a book. Back in the day I used to write poetry and compared my work with my high school friend Travis, who was far better at poetry than I. After High School, I moved to Florida and went to college. I dabbled in varied professions over the next several years. I worked in jobs such as Hotel Manager, Accountant, Insurance Agent, Travel Agent, Customer Service Rep, Draftsman, and even a Fry Cook. When I started on the book, I realized that this was my passion, what am ultimately meant to do. I loved writing the Foundlings and even if it does not become a best seller, I will continue to write. God willing and with help of my fans, The Foundlings will make a mark in the literary world. Thanks you for reading about me.

Smashwords book reviews by R M Garcia

  • Werelove #1: Dusk Conspiracy on Feb. 11, 2012

When I first started reading the book I knew that there was going to be were creatures in it, but I was pleasantly surprised that it takes place in the future, thus combining paranormal and Sci-Fi in one shot in my eyes. The author balances the the elements well so that neither (SCI-FI or Paranormal)ever overpowers the other, and maintains it throughout the book. The characters were well developed although she throws a lot of them at you at first. It took me a while to get them all straight but once I became familiar with them, I settled in to the story. Her story world is well thought out and cohesive, giving it a truly believable feel and tempo. I found myself hating some characters, loving others and outright yelling at Donil. A reaction I am sure the author wanted to incite. Overall 4 stars, Great work looking forward to starting on book 2.
