R.M. Plaiscia was born on June 8th, 1983, and raised in St. Bernard, Louisiana, just a footstep outside of New Orleans. On August 29th, 2005, Hurricane Katrina laid waste to his parish of St. Bernard, flooding his home with thirteen feet of water. That water then sat for nearly three weeks before being completely drained, and many said that no one would ever return. But not even three months passed before R.M. Plaiscia was back, digging out the remnants of his life while continually coping with the storm that had left it all in shambles.
No light existed in that time, only blackness. And the silence… not even an insect around to make a sound.
The only escape from the bleakness of that devastation was found through the words that spilled from the tip of his pen. Thus, birthed from those words were 'The Hurricane Journals'.
What began simply as a supernatural retelling of Louisiana's hurricane history quickly evolved into a war between supernatural-kind for control of all the fates. Now the opportunity to join R.M. Plaiscia on this journey through time has arrived.
From a long ago past that has since been forgotten, to a far distant future not yet seen, destinies will be altered, blood will be spilled, and hope will be fought for, all in the name of the single and undying word of Peace.
Step inside the Shroud of Ages.

This is the story of when that home was discovered, when their peace was torn asunder.
Time Took The Most
Escaping a hurricane ravaged parish on the cusp of being rebuilt for an ocean-side city on the brink of getting destroyed by a Tsunami was never Verona’s plan, but that’s exactly what happened. Was it God that had turned his back on her? Or did Fate have a different plan? Could a simple ring truly save her from the ocean's grasp? Or are the moments after death just incredibly vivid with dream?
Upon a River's Crescent (Volume 3 : The Hurricane Journals)
Death is where it all ends, the very definition of finality, or at least it’s supposed to be. It’s quite logical to believe that when a body dies, so dies everything inside of it – every breath, every thought, every single emotion ever felt. But there is a legend that tells quite a different story.
When War Walks (Volume 2 : The Hurricane Journals)
With their underground chambers left shattered by the flood, the Witches of Saint Claude must somehow rise up against their mightiest of adversaries, and not only known adversaries... but ones which can only be found by looking inward. So as a mighty battle unfolds, a Warlock at last takes his full form upon the battlefield, and his place of power will need to not only be taken, but earned.
Vampire Storm (Volume 1 : The Hurricane Journals)
When two storms converge upon a mighty river’s crescent, one of swirling wind and rising water, the other of regenerating flesh and self-binding bones, only one shall hold the ability to shift the fates of all the future forever more, and as the swamp fills with water, three witches shall begin their silent battle to control that power… but not all of them will be able to escape with their lives.
From The Flames of Extinction (Book 1 : The Demon Conquests)
From the flames of extinction, the Demons have risen. Breaking away from the grip of death itself, they have trampled across the bridge of reality. And standing in their way are the lone Protectors of Terra. Within a long forgotten past, war has broken out. The ancient inhabitants of Earth must rise up against a foe thought to be gone forever. Clearly, though... forever hadn't lasted long enough.
