The idea of time traveling is not new but Rex Applegate has made it fun and interesting by mixing true historical facts and people - George Washington, King George I, Winston Churchill, Cardinal Richelieu and others - with fictional events. Harry, the main character, is a historian and high school history teacher; he is a smart young man with a fine sense of humor, and a love for the pretty ladies. Throughout this story Harry makes us see what could happen or not due the action or inaction of an individual - the domino effect. I enjoyed this novel plus improved my knowledge of warfare in early America and other interesting European historical facts. Good job Rex!
