Danny Motola

Biography

Danny Motola began writing small stories, letters, and bits of philosophy years ago, just for fun. He still does. He is also now writing mystery novels. After living in Mexico for twenty-seven years, he immigrated to the U.S. where he met Maureen, also a writer, and together they discovered Baja. Having traveled extensively throughout Baja and the Sea of Cortez by boat, by plane and by truck, he chose this dangerous frontier as the setting for his mystery series, McGraw/O’Grady, PIs. As a pilot, sailor, and scuba diver, he brings all of these worlds into each book as he re-visits this most unique bit of paradise.
In Baja they also met Alfonsina Urquidez, owner of the resort in Gonzaga Bay known as ‘Alfonsina’s’. They became close friends and Danny and Maureen co-authored and published the biography, Alfonsina a Baja Legend.
Danny Motola, currently divides his time between the states of Washington and Arizona and is finishing his second mystery book about the famous rock pile mentioned in this novel.
