Biography
Author Biography: Utterly failing English in the 10th grade he quit school and left home hitchhiking back and fourth across the country never remaining long in one place. Suffering from a form of depression, he slipped into the Navy and was ejected for too young for service. His discharge read, ‘For reasons none derogatory’.
Again leaving his parents home he floated around the country working many different jobs and was again inducted into the service in 1961 serving in the Second Armored Division. After the ‘Missiles of October and the advent of the Vietnam war he had enough. He sought release with Alcohol and drugs which only aggravated the depression and he wasn’t able to stay put for long. At 30, by a miracle of God he was saved and the deliverance from alcohol and drugs was immediate, but he still suffered from depression for 25 years. He wrote his first short story titled ‘The Biscuit Run’ because of someone’s challenge and immediately loved the tightly wound short story format. Continuing to write, he has written some 22 short stories.
