Born as a child of the great 1930’s depression to a struggling farming family, educated during World War II, a career public servant, lecturer, commissioned officer in the army reserve, business person and in more recent times, Consultant, now in my early seventies I find I can look back on a lifetime from which I can draw a great deal of experience. Married for just over 52 years with a lovely wife and great family who are all now married and provide great joy and support to their parents as we move into our senior years.
I find that my experiences in life are able to be translated into my writings and my inspiration to write comes from my family who are avid readers. My motivation also is derived from an enquiring mind that likes to keep abreast of current affairs, news and world political events. With the advent of the internet I found that research can easily be undertaken and I embrace this current technology wholeheartedly and the opportunity presented by the evolution of ebooks.

The Whitsunday Saga
When police inspector Brad McManus was selected to review the investigation of a number of unsolved murders in his home town of Mackay in North Queensland it appeared that it would not be too complex as far as investigations go. Also, it presented a good opportunity for him to take the boat and enjoy some 'Whitsunday' boating during the off duty hours.
Escape from Singapore
Captain Paul Henson of the "Pacific Trader" knew that Singapore Harbour was not the place to be with the Japanese army taking all before it as it made its way relentlessly down the Malayan Peninsula towards Singapore in the later part of 1941. World War II had now commenced in the Pacific with a violence not previously experienced.
Close Call in Arnhem
