S. Michael O. was born in one of Canada’s northern fishing villages. When he was only eighteen months old, he went with his family to live in northwest Africa. A few years later, they all came back to Canada. However, the traveling and adventuring bug had bit hard and deep.
Having finished high school, he went to learn Urban Forestry and got a degree in English language.
Always thinking that the best way to become fearless is to confront his fears, he spent most of next few years working high up in trees.
Having lost most of his family to cancer and other medical problem, S. Michael O. took to traveling all over Canada for work and adventure. His latest adventures include moving to Vietnam. As an English and French teacher in Vietnam, he met his wife and they now live together in Ba Ria. The two are proud parents to a boy called Remington.
