Representing the Indies In Action group, 60 authors have combined to contribute 78 different writings in a charity anthology to help tornado victims in Oklahoma. The authors represent people from all around the globe. Nine countries are represented, and several of the contributors actually live in or have lived in "Tornado Alley." It is a grassroots, group effort to help those who need it the most
On 12/14/12, tragedy struck. Authors and artists combined, so that their emotional expressions could be put to good use. Contributors from around the world came together and shared souls for charity. Our effort has combined to create the anthology "Angels Cried." We are making a difference for those who truly need it the most. Funds go to Sandy Hook School Support Fund, managed by the United Way.

Quite an observation, Andy. I, too, lived in the south and was amazed at the acceptance between the races and the notion that the black folks should just "know their place." It has gotten better, from what I have heard. But I learned a long time ago to believe none of what I hear, and only half of what I see. What I saw as recently as 2003 was that bigotry is alive and well in the deep south. And on the left coast. And in the rust belt. People seem to naturally fear those who are different.
Thanks for being honest. I had a speech teacher in college who told us the first day that he had Tourette's Syndrome. He said,"Not the cussing kind, but I can cuss a lot if you want me to." He said he engrossed himself in speech as a way of dealing with his condition. Thanks again for being very candid. My heart goes out to you.
