Wow. Now that's a story. Haven't read that many books on here yet, but so far that's the best of them. The author does an excellent job of showing this woman's feelings and frustrations. I aspire to writing like this. By the way, I had to google "Onan's Sin", and I think I'm in trouble.

A very enjoyable read. A well-crafted story that incorporates classic works of literature into the plot, while mirroring them at the same time. The erotic elements are restrained, but evocative. Well done.
  • Short Sharp Shock on Aug. 11, 2010

Interesting read. The sexuality is subtle, but it's there beneath the surface. Since it's based on an actual incident, I'm left wondering how much is true, and how much is from the author's imagination. I recommend this one.

What a pleasure it was to read this story. If you've ever had a job that really sucked, this book will resonate with you. It covers a week in the life of a bank teller, which gets progressively weirder and funnier as the days go by. But what really makes the story special is the narration of the main character, applying her razor-sharp wit to both her mundane job and the insane events going on around her. Loved it!

Hot hot hot. Very well written. Makes me want to start treating my customers badly so one shows up at my door like this lucky guy. Great use of imagery puts the reader right in the middle of the action. Well done.
  • Connections (A Short Erotic / Erotica Romance) on Nov. 12, 2010

A perfect mix of erotica and heartfelt characters. The author allows us to feel the damaged loneliness of this girl, and then experience her first tentative steps in reconnecting with others. The relationship between Cathy and Seth is sweet, and I felt like I was right there with them as they made love. If you're looking for a pleasant read on a rainy afternoon, give this one a try. Well done.

I'm partial to hippy girls myself, so I loved this tale of a college guy who invites one to crash in his dorm room, and gets much more than he bargained for. Very well written, allowing the reader to become a participant in the wild action going on. And it does get wild, so be prepared. So, get out your day-glo posters and black light, turn on the lava lamp, put on some Iron Butterfly, and enjoy this raunchy tale of hippy love. Well done.

  • DATING MY VIBRATOR (and other true fiction) on March 13, 2011

This book is one of those rare delights that have you both laughing and wanting to cry at the same time. The author has the ability to turn a paragraph on a dime - in one sentence revealing her inner anguish, and the next using her laser-sharp wit to prove we can laugh through the pain. Honest, heartfelt, and well-written, this book allows us to share in the rollercoaster ride of emotions that accompany being suddenly single again. I highly recommend it.
  • Write or Die on April 29, 2011
    star star star star star
This story is like a sauce that has been boiled down to a concentrate, stripped bare of all non-essentials and leaving only clear, concise writing that moves the story quickly. It walks a tightrope between funny and poignant, as the author describes her death, the discovery of her body, and the aftermath. But for me the best part was the author's use of succinct descriptive phrases that brought the story into my head and allowed me to experience it along with her. I'm looking forward to reading more from Ms. Knight.
  • No Rest for the Wicked on April 29, 2011

Reading this story, I felt like I was dropped in on an exciting scene from an action movie. It starts quick, and then gets wild as the mayhem kicks in. And like the tip of an iceberg, you get the feeling there's a complex back-story going on behind all of this action. Like a teaser for a film, it whetted my appetite. I love what's here, and I want to see Veronica Grim kick ass in a novel-length story. It's clear that this author knows how to use words to paint images in our minds. Well done.
  • The Man Who Murdered Himself: A Short Story on June 16, 2011
    star star star star star
Very well-written story based on an interesting concept. Short and straight-forward, it grabs you quickly and doesn't let go until the surprising conclusion. Reminded me a bit of the movie The Presitige, and the questions raised by it. If you're looking for a quick, thought-provoking read, give this one a try. Well done.
  • Stacy and Harold on the Fourth on June 30, 2011
    star star star star star
This is a charming short story about a weekend spent at the lake with a girlfriend's quirky family. The writing style is laid-back, which matches the atmosphere of the get-together. The eroticism is more subtle than overt, as Harold and Stacy dodge family members in an effort to first tease each other, and then to be alone to consumate their mutual desire. After reading this engaging story, I feel I know these characters. Well done.
  • The Hot Girl's Friend on July 01, 2011

Loved this romantic short, a pleasant and funny take on the underdog tale. What makes this story special is the sharp wit of Jane, and her hilarious conversations with Brady, her new friend. The author has a great ear for writing characters and dialogue, creating people you care about in a story that flows naturally. Very well written, and I'm looking forward to reading more from this author.

I've found a new author to add to my favorites. Inara writes with a sensual simplicity that drew me into the story, and made me feel like I was part of the action. Very well written, this story allows us to follow Anna as she begins her summer of lust. I really enjoyed her fling with Patrick, and I’m looking forward to the rest of the summer. Looks like it's going to be a scorcher! Well done.
  • Bette's Surprise on Oct. 30, 2011
