As with "The Mating", this book was sooooo good. I loved it. It made me cry, laugh, shout out loud at the characters, and kept me on the edge of my seat. I had to keep telling myself "it's only a book, it's only a book". I am looking forward to reading the next book in this saga "The Finding". Keep 'em coming Nicky!
I cannot say that I didn't enjoy this book but not nearly as much as "The Mating" or "The Keeping". It doesn't measure up as far as being romantic/erotic. I don't mind the suspense (that added to the story) but I like the hot stuff too and it just wasn't present in this book. Even when Bryan and Cassie finally got together (in the last 8 pages of the book) it was pretty tame. The first three quarters of the book Cassie didn't even seem like she liked Bryan. She was always fighting him and trying to get away from him. That irritated me. Bryan and Cassy eventually lived in the same pack house together for six months and she never even so much as touched him below the waist. And Bryan didn't want to take her because he wanted to make sure it's what she wanted. Oh come on, let's get real here. Nicky couldn't write a bad book. This one just didn't do it for me like the first two did. HOWEVER, the story between Damien and Sam sounds like it has potential to be really good. Nicky, put the hot stuff back in!!! But most important....PLEASE GET WELL.
