Good "young adult" story, nicely paced, strong plot. Good imaginative ideas, a blending of modern thinking in a pretty traditional fantasy setting. Probably needs more distance from contemporary thought patterns and language usage.
Rather predictable but still enjoyable concluding story of the series. Unfortunately not much added to the world, little development of subsidiary characters (esp. Stacy - a real opportunity missed there), almost but not quite a ho-hum winding up of the series. Definitely the weakest of the three books.
Enjoyable, but more a formulaic fantasy than heartfelt writing. The main characters were interesting and sympathetic and making allowances the story moved along well. Unfortunately the ending was terrible, the author got caught in his own web and dashed out a disappointing and implausible end.
