Shawn Daniel Hendricks is the proud father of Melody Hendricks, son of Chuck and Polly Hendricks and brother to Denis, Penny, Terry, Martin and Roy. Growing up, Shawn sold all-occasion cards door-to-door and later worked as a lifeguard several summers. Shawn studied nuclear engineering at the University of Arizona in 1981 but after his freshman year he joined the US Navy. Electronics Technician Second Class Hendricks was trained as a nuclear reactor operator and electronics technician and served on the USS Pollack (SSN-603). Honorably discharged after completing his six year commitment, he went on to become a fitness instructor, electronics technician, senior computer systems analyst and project manager. He was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Liberal Studies from Excelsior College in 2010. Shawn has three pieces of shareware to his credit and is working on a manuscript describing his adventures in the Balkan Peninsula where he was awarded the NATO medal (non-Article 5) and two Commander’s Awards for Civilian Service. He has been in ten motion pictures as a background actor. Shawn has visited almost thirty countries and currently resides in Maryland, USA. Cooking and the inevitable eating that must follow are two of Shawn’s favorite hobbies along with reading.
