  • Actionable Evaluation Basics: Getting succinct answers to the most important questions [minibook] on Aug. 23, 2013

Love this mini-book! As others have mentioned, it's accessible and relevant and well-presented for a smooth read. I've just decided it will be a required purchase and reading for my graduate students in their Program Evaluation Methods course. I appreciate most the good examples of evauation questions, the elucidation of differences between descriptive and evaluative questions, the examples of generic and specific rubrics for educational programs, good explanation of indicators, criteria, and outcome domains, and finally a good explanation of why not to give recommendations in a report, but rather rely on actionable data - the answers to explicilty evaluative questions.
