Best-selling author Sherry Gloag writes romances that stay with you long after you put her books down.
One day, when stuck on completing a scene in her debut novel, The Brat, published by The Wild Rose Press, she opened a clean page and started 'freewriting'. She didn't sort of the errant scene, but she did write her first, published, 1k short story. She's had six more published since then.
With eight published books under her belt and another due out in late 2013 Sherry is already working on her next novel.
Each week, on her blog, along with a group of other talented authors she offers a free read under the umbrella heading of Tuesday's Tales.
Sherry Gloag describes herself as a 'displaced' Scot living in the beautifly rural English county of Norfolk, where she enjoys talking with her characters while walking the area she calls 'her extended back garde'. But she does check to see if there's anyone e;se around before she gets involved with her characters.
When she's not writing, Sherry enjoys reading, gardening and craftwork, to name a few of her hobbies.
Her preference is for quiet when writing, but will occasionally use music to help set a mood if it is being elusive.
Sherry Gloag loves hearing from her readers,

Purple lightning, a purpled-eyed hero, and a bunch of children who draw her in for no reason Natalie Danvers can think of, as does Lorh.
In few words Ms. Kumar paints a dismal picture of Natalie's present life and the not-so-bright future, so when she steps into a road that suddenly disappears, I was already well invested in the author's heroine.
This is a 'sweet' read, charmingly done with some delightful descriptions as the author entices you into her world creation.
Do I have a grouse about this story? Yes, I wanted more, deeper charcterisation. Why? Because I enjoyed the story so much.

Whether you are interested in paranormal stories or not this is a ‘must read’ book for all aspiring authors.
Because in less than forty pages Ms. Dixon offers a potent story, plenty of description and fully fledged characters with all their flaws on display, plus two heroines and two heroes. The second couple may not be ‘the main characters’ per say but they have equal weight within the plot and story content.
The writing carries you from each setback to the next one with fluency and explanations for Fae’s apparent inconsideration and determination to get her own way, so you still end up in total harmony with her and her actions.
Is there anything that niggled me about this story? Yes, the lack of acknowledgement that although skewed, Rod and Izzy found each others as a direct result of Fae’s tenacity.
That said this is a lovely story that includes a Green Lady, a howling wolf, a crumbling Welsh castle and enough mist to invite every ghost that every walked to turn up at the castle on this particular Halloween night.
