Tracy Burton

Biography

Tracy has enjoyed putting pen to paper since she was a child; however, fifteen years of media and public relations roles plus a busy home life meant putting her writing ambitions on hold for too many years.
Now her family is grown and has flown the nest, she is once again pursuing her passion (though her suntan suggests she doesn’t spend as much time at her computer as she should!).
Her other half is the outdoor writer, Harri Garrod Roberts, and in 2011, Tracy began writing about their outdoor adventures in a blog called The Walker’s Wife. This led to her self-publishing her first travelogue, Never Too Old To Backpack, a light-hearted account of her 23-day walk through Wales with Harri.
She is currently writing a second travelogue, this time about backpacking through the Algarve along the Via Algarviana.
Tracy has had several short stories published, including in anthologies, teenage romance magazines and (one) in Take a Break.
She is also working on her first novel, Halter Necks and Cocky Elbows, set in the sweltering summer of 1976.
Tracy lives in South Wales, with Harri and their cat.
