The books I like to read and write are cozy mysteries with a romantic edge, as well as fast-paced steamy romances set in countries like Portugal, Italy, Spain, the UK, and Greece, where there are blue skies, exotic and beautiful scenery, and sun, sun, sun...
In my romance books, billionaires and millionaires abound (alpha male dominant types) and the heroines are strong women who can meet them head on. Either or both the hero and the heroine have issues that stand in the way of love. My characters may be troubled, but they are never unkind -- and they all fundamentally have loving hearts. Being a hopeless romantic, I'm a sucker for a happily-ever-after ending and a good epilogue. As my grandmother once told me, "Life is all about love and romance ... the rest is filler."
My motto: When life is crazy and you're feeling down, why not pick up a romance book and let your troubles melt away!
