I loved this book. The Night Walk Men is seriously one of the more conflicting stories Ive read. It is fast paced yet telling an age old story. It is seriously dark, with a goth/comic book feel to it, yet some of the most beautifully written lines Ive ever had the pleasure of reading. The characters are extremelly strong, and yet again, McIntyre is able to build them within the constraints of a short story. The story makes me itch to draw...with lots of blacks and greys... I am surprised to be writing this, but The Night Walk Men might be my favorite just because of the contradictions. If its not my favorite its a close second to On the Gathering Storm. Or Thalo Blue. I would suggest reading The NightWalk Men to sample the intricate style and beautiful flow of Jason McIntyre's storytelling voice. He is truly a master storyteller with a contemporary edge.
Beautifully written story that once again makes me look at life a little differently. This story is so well crafted I liked the character before realizing what was happening. McIntyre has the rare ability to guide me along the path in the story where HE wants me to travel. Anyone that describes themselves as an "avid" or "voracious" reader should start consuming everything Jason McIntyre has written, they will be sated.
