"Confessions of an Imperfect Caregiver" by Bobbi Carducci is an insight into an exceptionally unique story to which anyone with an aging relative can relate. The humanness of Bobbi Carducci’s daily struggles with her father-in-law, his condition, and the medical field show how tough and straining it can be for a family when the caregiving role is reversed between the parent and the child. You will go through Bobbi’s stresses and experience her frustration, pain, and joys. This is not the typical book I would pull off the shelf, but the emotional path it takes the reader down is well worth the read. It may or may not change your view on patient advocacy and end-of-life healthcare, but it will definitely touch your heart.
