  • How To Be A School Bus Driver on June 21, 2012

There's lots of good information in this book. If you are, have been or wanna be a driver you might want to take a look at this. Also, if you have kids who ride the bus it might be helpful to look at it from the other side.
  • Tribe on June 21, 2012

The story is well considered from beginning to end. The hero, annoying at first, but he grows on you. A welcome addition to the superhero genre, and an enjoyable read.

  • A Crack in the Wall on Feb. 19, 2013

A good, well-written story. I honestly didn't know where it was going. I look forward to reading more.
  • Sarah on Feb. 19, 2013

A well executed short story which really had a lot going on. The only thing that bothers me is that the story ends with a "comma" instead of a "period". It's almost a write your own ending.
  • Buried Truth (An Emily O'Brien novel #2) on March 29, 2013

Here is my candidate for most likely to become a paperback. Entertaining and engaging.
  • The Coalition Episode 1 on May 14, 2014

I’ve recently finished reading The Coalition (the entire, first four parts) by Aria J. Wolfe. It was good. I would recommend it. I would, however, caution younger readers. There are some PG moments; mostly involving blood and/or pain. But if you are reading this review I assume you want more information. When I first started reading this book I was afraid. No, the story isn’t frightening, or should I say, it isn’t that frightening. The events in question started out basically slow and regrettably predictable. I was afraid this story would not be as good as I’d hoped. The concept is a good one. The advertising is properly intriguing. The cover is well designed. I had entered these pages with high hopes and did not want to see them dashed. I read on in hopes of finding a justification for what I had read about the story, for something of more depth than found in the typical YA template. I longed for a twist or a turn to surprise me and show some meaning to the events the characters were being drawn into. In the end I was not disappointed in the least. My advice: Get this book. Read it. Keep reading. It gets better as it goes. The beginning has depth you will not see at first. It all falls into place. Ms. Wolfe is one of those rare and unique entities; an artisan. She doesn’t tell a story, she weaves it together like a tapestry. I’m not a huge fan of labelling, but I would call this a dystopian fantasy, with allegorical underpinnings and yes, probably YA as well. I am giving this honest review in exchange for an honest review of my own work, and a free copy.
