Who is she? I ask myself that question daily as I sit down to write each book. Am I Marita McCarren, the sexy middle-aged lawyer? Am I one of the heroines of the Night Sweats series. Am I one or all of the menopausal, steamy seductresses in the Hot Flashes series. In many ways, I am all of the characters and these characters drive what I write about them from their place in my imagination.
My life is revealed in my novels and novellas. These books are me. The main character's friends are my friends and the villains live somewhere on the outskirts of my imaginative towns. You may laugh at Alice Tipper from Sleeping With the Mob Book Two and think her absolutely outlandish ways are fiction. No, Alice is a living, breathing person that is even larger in life than in the book.
So, who am I? I am a mother of two, a grandmother of three, a wife of a good man (sometimes), a lover (a damn good one), a business woman, a loyal friend, and a dedicated author that wants to put the best possible romance books in your hands. I want them to interest you and be about people you would hang out with and men you would love to get to know. I am giving you my heart and mind in my books. You get all of me and when you are done reading you know me and you know my friends.
Some background is necessary. I've had three bestsellers, just not under my name, but as a ghostwriter. I have written dozens of books on a broad range of topics. I decided it was time to leave the safety of writing for others and write what I am passionate about. These books have been a long time coming but I promise to stay true to the genre we all love.
