Larry Brooks

Biography

Larry Brooks is a bestselling author and well known writing teacher. His website, www.storyfix.com, was named to Writers Digest "101 Best Writing Websites of 2011," and was voted by readers as the #1 writing site on the internet.

His writing book, "Story Engineering: Mastering the Six Core Competencies of Successful Writing," was published in February 2011 and was an immediate bestseller.

He has published five critically acclaimed novels, including the USA Today bestseller "Darkness Bound" and "Bait and Switch." He has optioned several movie scripts and was a 2002 Finalist in the Nicholl Fellowship in Screenwriting competition (top 10 out of 6044 scripts submitted). He also frequently appears at writing conferences as a keynote speaker and workshop teacher.

Larry lives in Scottsdale, AZ with his wife and muse, Laura. His son, Nelson, is currently a senior at USC. His hobbies are fitness, movies, reading, more fitness, and date night with his wife.
