Anna's books are like having a neighbor with a successful homestead living next door. She's generous with information about what worked and what didn't work for her. I recommend "April" if you are thinking about no-till or lasagne gardening and want a fast introduction to the topic from someone with hands-on experience. The book gives just enough detail to go out and experiment.
