Sue Maynard

Biography

Sue Maynard was born and raised in the rural Canadian village of Creemore, ON (yes, like the beer), but currently hangs her hat in the much bigger metropolis of Mordor...er...Toronto. She is a proud Browncoat, a horror geek girl, and an overall sci fi nerd.

In addition to writing, Sue is a total freak for movies, books, video games, comicons, llamas, paperdolls, shiny things, Coke Zero, and her cats.

Carving the Light is Sue's first novel, originally written for the 2009 NaNoWriMo challenge, which marked both her first year as a NaNo participant, and her first recorded 'win'. It also holds the dubious distinction of being the first project of this magnitude that Sue has ever managed to actually complete, as she has not always been the biggest fan of finishing what she starts.

Sue has, however, been known to step into a room and immediately map out her escape plan in the case of a zombie attack.

So maybe she's just been conserving her energy for that.
