I quite liked this book. The plot was interesting and, apart from the time travel aspect, believable. A gal from the present finds herself in the body of an 1880 ancestor whom she resembles and feels connected to. The time period is well represented and it is fun to experience the heroine's adjustment to Victorian attitudes. I particularly appreciate that mundane details such as who what and where were introduced within the interesting plot instead of appearing as boring lists. The love story was quite believable and moved at a reasonable pace. I read this book all the way through in one sitting. It is an excellent historical romance and well done time travel novel. I cared about the characters and will probably read the book again. The pictures were not vital to understanding the novel, but added a nice ambiance to the whole book.

Loved the book, read it in one day. The love story quite believable. The pacing was decent. The characters were well done. I liked that the "bad guys" had good as well as bad aspects. The erotic content made sense in the context of the story and was well done. The only issues I had with the book were the poor editing and that a duke would find it easy to fall in love with and marry a servant. I look forward to reading more of this author's work.

A very satisfying romance, well balanced pace, pretty believable plot, characters you care about, just the right amount of passion. Even the ending was well done. The price was rather high for a novella, but I was glad I bought it.

I really enjoyed this book and stayed up half the night reading it. I got teary eyed a number of times. The heroine was a bit too perfect and I didn't really believe she, as a peeress, would have been treated quite so shabbily by the hero at that time in England. But that is minor. The characters are vivid and easy to care for. The plot is original, at least to me. In the end I felt quite satisfied with the entire story. I look forward to reading more by this author.

Enjoyed the story very much. Needs a good editor. Writing not particularly good but the original story made up for it. Decent pace, read in one day. I liked the characters so it was easy to like the love story. The "bad guys" were all black, no gray, not well drawn. Should be labelled erotic. I hope the author continues to develop and refine her skills.
