  • Avoiding Responsibility on Dec. 04, 2012

4 Stars - Loved it! My review posted on Goodreads: This was one book that I was hanging out to be released and I found the switching between the past and present to be challenging at first. As I got into the storyline, it got easier to get into the pattern of knowing where they were at and it worked well :) Enjoyed Avoiding Responsibility and adding this review has been hard to do with out giving the plot away but here goes! Lexi tended to give in a little too easy to situations as they evolved, but it was good to see her character toughen up and look after herself more. Ramsay gradually started worming his way into my favour but not completely, there was just something about him that made me question his 'sweetness' a little to sacharin at times? Too good to be true? Still adore Jack and all his wayward antics, part of me just wants him to wake-up to himself! Most enduring part of the story was the fiesty true friendship between Chyna and Lexi. Amongst all the other characters, their relationship was rock solid to the core. Bek - what can I say,

What an indulgent day I've just spent with Hector...The guys at 5th street certainly know how to woo their ladies! Not a boxing fan at all, but this series has me hanging out for the next book. Each book is a love story, focusing on a member of the 5th street gym, that is heartfelt and entertaining. Hector's story deals with the hurtful effects of bullying and the pain that evolves from careless actions for not just the victim, but the bystanders. Had to smirk when a kobo reward for 2 hours straight reading popped up, a true achievement would have read being able to stop myself reading :)

  • Abel (5th Street #4) on Aug. 16, 2013

Good to be back with the boys on 5th Street! Abel's story had me on edge, but I couldn't put it down. Gret series, and pleased that Felix's book is next.

Loved it! A page turner that kept me guessing right up to the end.

Loved it! Vera is represented so well as the adventurous young women with a conscience. Mateo is worldly but determined. Falling in love with Spain and the Spanish ways of life and Vera's new found love has a massive impact on how she will be able to live and love from now on! A moving story that told it as it was!
