- The Dark Gifts Birthright
on Oct. 18, 2012
OK so I started this series off by reading Afterlife and it was great! And then I was gifted Birthright to read and i thought how AWESOME!! Also I thought I knew kind of what I was getting myself into when starting this book because of my previous read. That was not the case I was looking for Angie, Micheal, William ANYBODY from Afterlife when I picked up this book. I found myself lost in the beginning and had to will myself through I frequently lost concentration and just couldn't focus any attention on what I was reading. So by now you are wondering why I gave Birthright a 4 star review ;) Well here goes, after I got through the first 3 or so chapters the story itself opened up there is a war about to break out between the vampires and all that they have lived by for so long is being challenged and over turned. Oh! And Angie, William and Micheal DO return you just have to be patient unlike I was. Liz is the new girl to this story and she has ALOT to learn if she is going to take on the roll the stars have aligned for her. I could keep going on why you SHOULD read this book but I don't want to spoil anything. All I can say is don't be too quick to judge a new book you pick up it might end up being a GREAT read after you make it in a few chapters. Happy Reading :-)
- Oceans of Red Volume Two
on Oct. 22, 2012
I was gifted Ocean of Red Volume 2 and I really enjoyed it. This book picked up exactly where Volume 1 left off so there was no guessing what happened to whom between. This book was a bit shorter then I prefer and I think could of been combined with the first book to make it a little longer but either way I would still recommend both Volumes. They were well written and the further you read into the books a new element is added to each character they are still Brother and Sisters but with the weight of the world resting on their shoulders and each have found not one but several new talents. And Remy she is in for the fight of her life I'm predicting after all the Demons have found a way to reproduce and by the description the author uses to explain these creatures I am pretty sure I wouldn't want to tangle with them! I cannot wait to read what happens next and I hope you enjoy the books as I did. Happy reading :-)
- The Bloodstone Oracle
on Oct. 22, 2012
This book was gifted to me and I must say WOW in 27 pages The Bloodstone Oracle has shed more light on Micheal and the way the bloodstone works while being worn. Everything I have previously read is knitting together more tightly by reading this companion series. Bottom line if you plan on reading The Dark Gifts series reading The Dark Gifts Companion series is a MUST! Happy Reading :)
- A Higher Calling
on Oct. 22, 2012
OK to begin I was gifted A Higher Calling in exchange for my honest review of the book and I can honestly say this is something way different from all of Willow Cross' other books! I can tell that I am going to be at war with myself over Nathaniel and Ramiel both seem to have quite the body and looks by their descriptions but, I am still trying to place each of their full intentions as well as their personality's right now they both have a macho thing goin . Sophie has been put between a rock and a hard place wondering which side to take and to make it worse her daughter Shelly is going to be affected either way her mother chooses. While Nathaniel and Ramiel try to sway Sophie in two different directions she is scared for her daughter and also her possible future granddaughter if she chooses wrongly it could prove to leave no protection for Shelly or not having a granddaughter some day. As much as I hate the words to be continued this book has definitely left me wanting more. The Higher Calling is worth a look for sure! Happy Reading!
- Haunted II
on Oct. 23, 2012
I was gifted this book and I have always been on the fence about actually believing in ghosts and spirits.... I have occasionally on important days in my lifetime smelled my grandpas pipe tobacco and have woken up from a extremely vivid dream actually talking out loud to him. Mind you he passed away in 1991. I have always wanted to believe I have had someone with me this whole time but then again I would blame it all on stress. With Haunted II ( I have to add I read this in a lonely waiting room in the hospital after dark and I kept looking over my shoulder ) there was a creepy way Willow told her experiences she so easily walked you through her stories like you were there with her. The hairs on my neck stood on end and although a quick read it was worth it. Happy Reading !
- Haunted
on Oct. 23, 2012
I was gifted this book fairly early this morning and I was so excited to read it I read it right then..... HUGE mistake! Haunted would of been so much better for me to read AFTER the sun had set. At least for the full affect to get to me :-). Even though I messed up because I was so eager it was a good read and one worth breaking out during a girl scout camp out. Hey if your gonna try and scare kids minds well do it with real ghost stories! I also have Haunted II but I'm going to wait until later to read that one. Hope you get scared enough to look over your shoulder, under the bed and in the closet before turning out your light tonight :-). Happy Reading!
- The Light Of The World
on Nov. 04, 2012
OMW! To put Tara Browns book The Light Of The World in perspective.... How would you feel to know you were born dead but are alive at the same time? That when you sleep, you sleep among the dead and you only wake when they allow it? How about knowing that you have been born 5 times only lived up to the night before your 21st birthday and your destiny is already set and you are the only one who could change it? Yea I can't even begin to answer those questions! All I can say is the lead character Rayne was given the short end of the stick in this Novel and now she's unsure of who she can truly trust with her life and heart.
This book will literally pull you in and you will NOT be able to put it down. Between Witches, Vampires, The Van Helsing family, Angels, Demons and well one special breed that saves the world from sin....I feel like I am saying to much but not saying enough about The Light Of The World. I don't want to spoil your reading so just take my word on this one it is truly amazing.... but beware the cliffhanger is going to make you want more! Happy Reading all!!
- House On Butcher Harbor
on Nov. 11, 2012
Ok first off I was gifted this book and I told the author that I would review it honestly after I read it. Now Im not one for ghost stories I dont usually read about them or watch movies with ghosts. Main reason being I cant see them but they can see me. This book a few times while reading it I had to put it down and go to sleep because I had goosebumps! Mind you reading at night with the lights off probably did not help much.Anyway though I fell in love with the lead characters in this book Claire was so amazing and Grace such a loving friend and then their was Deputy Dogg (hehehe) who would do anything for Claire to just notice him. And of course a the ghosts! Thei authors back stories of the house the ghosts the towns people was so in depth and well thought out. Now even though I was gifted this book I would have gladly paid for it and even more then it is offeted fpr. All in all House on Butcher Harbor is one of my WOW!! Books I really enjoyed it and hope uou do too! Happy reading :)
- Lost and Found
on Feb. 05, 2013
I read Lost and found rather quickly I know its a short story and all but its the kind of story that makes you grab your seat and hold on tight because its gonna be fast paced! Two big things stuck out and that is 1 this needs to be made longer and continue where it ended!! Because ending like it did, made me want soooo much more!! Number 2 I really like the title and love the cover but I think I am missing something because it doesn't fit the title I mean.... all in all Amy has her work cut out for her because I am going to bug her for more! Anyone who picks this short up is not going to be disappointed plus Remy is sounding like he would make quite a catch he already has the knight in shining armour thing going for him ;)

- Born to Fight
on April 14, 2013
First off I have to say Born to fight rocked my socks! It picked right up and it was up an down super thrill ride!! This time around I have a softer spot for Will but let's face it I am finding I am a sucker for brothers! Jake is still around but he's starting to figure himself out some and he might just have a new interest ;) Em is as feisty as ever and so hard not to love I was and still am worried for her she's been pushed away and has a raw talent to keep pushing others away as well. The first couple chapters of Born to fight I am not gonna lie I was holding my breath trying to be as quiet as a church mouse while Em was hiding lol it sounds so stupid but its the truth I would read and read until I needed to breath not realizing I was being quiet for her. This time around Em finds out some deep secrets and she is out for blood not saying who's but there are a few hidden doozys that come to the surface. I so cannot wait to see how things pan out for Em, Will, Jake, Leo and well everyone else that is left come the end of the book ;) its getting so hard for me to not spoil someones reading I just want to talk talk talk about Tara's new edition to her wonderful novels. Happy reading all
***** before I go though I just want to make a note about this book and any others that are posted on Amazon, Smash words, Good reads, and nook or any other site, these authors who write books to entertain you as well as thousands of others.... most are not millionaire's and really don't make loads of money off their sales. It is OK for someone to not like a book but PLEASE just because you don't like something don't trash it and turn others from it have some respect for authors and readers. And before I forget readers!! By all means form your own opinions but don't let one asinine review spoil a book you are about to read their are thousands of people who's happiness comes from trashing another's hard work. Please form your own opinions and leave out the trashing simply say "This book wasn't for me" or "I just wasn't able to get into the book it might be to someone else's liking though"**********
