I first started writing when I was 15.Prior to this I'd had a few ideas for stories, but never actually written anything down. Honestly, I was the type of person who did very poorly in English in school and struggled greatly with writing essays as part of my homework assignments or exams.
The only reason I got into writing in the first place was because I wrote an English essay (of like 500 words that I'd struggled to produce) based on a really crappy writing prompt and though I got a C for my efforts and wasn't really the sort to be bothered to try for a higher grade, I couldn't stop thinking about the characters in the story. And the more I thought about them the more of a story developed around them.
So, I decided to just write out my thoughts as I followed the characters around in my mind, and eventually I had a full book written.
As it turns out, the reason I struggled so greatly in English class with writing essays was due to the word limitation. I could write you 60,000+ words of a story quite easily, but I struggle to condense it to just 500.

I can't honestly say that there is much of a story behind my latest (or any of my books).

My main focus when writing is on characters that randomly appear in my head and I just follow them around as they do what they do. I'm not really the type to sit around and think too deeply on things or to actively plot things out, so there's no great story behind anything I write (I'm not that deep, or that skilled).

I kinda just sit there passively as the characters do their thing and I just write what they do.

The plot of the current story (The Immortal Souls - Magic & Chaos), follows a 200+ year old vampire named Jamie, who saw a magical girl named Sam and inexplicably fell in love with her. The story then follows loosely the development of their relationship and slowly unravels the reasons behind why he had such a connection with a stranger on first sight (it was due to a past life experience), and follows their attempt to stop the bad guy (a strange creature made of shadows that can possess people and incites acts of chaos where it goes)
