The reviews were so good I had to take a look, although the blurb didn't sound so interesting. But apparently this book failed to interest me at all. I don't like the writing style. And there's nothing that 'holds' me, but I suppose the writer's good. Her choice of words is powerful.
Honestly, I have no idea why the reviews are so good. Yes, the plot is well designed but it was not as well written as a 5 star rating should be. I've read many suspense books and this is not nearly as exquisite as those. This is fun to read and has the air of mystery but nothing that makes you want to read on and on. I expected better seeing the reviews but oh well. And there were many religions which just got annoying. Like "million and one times".
But good, nonetheless.
A very deserving 5-star book it is! It was wonderful to read and held me captive within its jaws till it was finished with me, and then finally released me. I read on till the end but since I needed to sleep early, I had to stop for a night's sleep. However, I grabbed on as fast as I could! And wow, was I entrapped! Vey good job, writer!
Hey now, this is a Lizzy grade book! So there is no way this can be any less than 5 stars. Lizzy defines 5 stars and well! This is definitely awesome! I am so curious to see what happens next and I am sure hooked. I love how she portrays the little child. It is exquisite.
I agree with the review of S.J. It definitely needs and deserves much more than 5 stars! I don't think I have ever come across a book which was so well written! The writing presented a clear view, the words were exquisitely vivid. This in itself, is good enough to earn full points. But the plot? Nothing short of amazing can describe such a beautiful novel. The writing is touching. I found myself taking breaks to get rid of the enchanting spells it had on me. I read and then took occasional breaks. It overwhelmed me.
I believe the author deserves more recognition and this is pure talent. Wonderful!
