Walter Manning

Biography

Walter Manning served six years in the United States Air Force before earning his B.S. & M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Houston, TX, where he graduated with high honors. His career transitioned from engineering, to marketing, to sales, and into program management. He retired in 2009, as a senior manager, after a fifty-year career in the high-tech industry.

He is a member of Phi Kappa Phi (National Honor Society), Tau Beta Pi (National Engineering Honor Society), and Etta Kappa Nu (National Electrical Engineering Honor Society), and is a semi-pro baseball umpire. He enjoys: music; reading; writing; being creative; repairing things, and keeping current with world events, particularly as they pertain to biblical eschatology.

Magdalene, his bride since 1966, earned her master’s degree in Education from the University of Hartford, Connecticut. Recently retired, she was an elementary school teacher for over twenty-five years, and is recognized by her peers as a woman of integrity, dedication, and having a gentle, generous spirit.

The Manning’s have two children: daughter, Elise Ruth who earned her doctorate degree in Biological Chemistry from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and son, Christopher David who earned his Bachelor’s degree in finance from Stetson University in De Land, Florida. Both are married, have children, and pursuing their chosen career.Blank page
