Kate Hawkes
Biography
Kate Hawkes has degrees in Education, Counseling
and Theatre and has spent all her adult life as a
teacher (elementary through highschool, community
groups and college); and theatre professional (actress,director, producer, playwright). She is an arts-in-healthcare consultant with The Society for Arts in Healthcare, where she assists groups to articulate and bring into being arts programs specifically tailored to meet the needs of healthcare. She created Performing Wellness ™, and has taught workshops throughout the country in a wide variety of settings. She works with veterans, children, teenagers, adults and continues as a director, producer and writer.
Kate lives in Central Arizona. When not conducting a workshop, running a rehearsal or at her computer engaged in a myriad of endeavors, she rides her horse through the ancient rocks, up windswept peaks and along streambeds that keep her grounded.
