I enjoyed reading this book. I liked the developing relationship between the two main characters and am interested to see how that relationship develops in the next book. Definitely gives a new spin on the world of vampires!!

Wow! That pretty much sums up what I thought of this book. Kallypso sure knows how to draw you into not only the story, but what the characters are feeling emotionally as well. I loved this prequel and cannot wait for the rest of the series to come out. I am really glad that Kallypso wrote the prequel as I feel that I understand the characters enough to follow them in their journey ahead. In some book series you really don't get enough background information on the characters. This won't be a problem with the Masters At Arms series. Kallypso has done a great job and I think that whatever else she writes, we as readers will be in for a treat!
