After wasting close to 30 years of his life on Wicca and a life of paganism, Tim, now in his 50s, came to know Messiah in 1998. Since then, he has done as much as possible to make up for those wasted years. A disabled US Navy Desert Storm veteran, he lives in Texas with his wife of 20+ years plus a pack of critters. He is currently working for a concrete company where he is busy playing in the mud with a big truck. When he is not at work, or at home busy pounding out more Sci-Fi on his laptop, his time is taken up serving his cats, the LORD, his wife and his dogs--not quite in that order (but don't tell the cats).

Things that Go Bump in the Night
Yon 'fore the now, the then was a'here.
The beasties, an' ghoulies, an' ghosties ran freer.
Amok an' away, we hid from the day.
Runnin' at night, we doled out our fright.
Twas not of our own strife; we were spoken to life.
I be one o' the beasties what goes bump in the night!
A short single.
Shalik Chandela Holmes, born in the jungles of India, raised in Jolly Old England, and schooled in the Americas, was content in her role as surgeon for the United States Army. She was a little brown person helping to protect the white people from the red people. That was, until she was framed for a murder she did not commit.
A chronic nightmare is something to be scared of. Especially if seeking help seems to do nothing to be rid of it. A short story.

Started off rather slow for me. Then, at around 30% (Kindle version) it took off. I usually have my on-the-road book, and my at-home book. This was the otr book--and for the last 20%, it bumped the at-home book (which, for the record, is volume 3 of David Drake's Hammer's Slammers). I could not put it down, it was that fantastic a read.
I would dearly love to see a sequel.
