The Werewolfening of Taffney St. Cloud
on July 15, 2014
Book two in the series has 50% more words, twice as much plot, and just as much humor as the first book. Here's hoping there will be a third entry. Taffney vs. zombies, perhaps?
Sunfall: Episode 1

It grabbed my attention from the beginning and made me want to read more. A promising introduction to a different kind of post-apocalyptic world.
Space Weasels

It's funny out of the gate and moves quickly. A comedic space adventure à la Harry Harrison's "Bill, The Galactic Hero."

A very funny micro-brewery version of Hemingway and Melville. For me, Paul Hawkins' stories are like Three Stooges short films. They definitely punch above their weight in the comedy ring.
Short and Stupid: Ten Somewhat Dark Short Stories for a Rainy Day

You're guaranteed a belly laugh from at least one of these tiny comedic gems. Hawkins is a master of the comedic shift from the grand and pompous to the trivial and silly. I haven't laughed so hard since Mark Twain's _1601_. My favorites among these one- and two-page stories: Aladdin's Genie, The Slightly Evil Mirror, The Dog Tree, Saint Dunstan, and The New Atlantis. I laughed so hard from several of these that I couldn't breathe.
