  • The Incomplete Dog Book - Nothing You Ever Wanted To Know About Dogs Volume 1 on Dec. 07, 2012
    (no rating)
I've fallen in love with Dr Scott - weelll, his writing anyway! Nearly choked to death on my belly laugh at the chapter on breeding. If you want the lowdown on what it's really like to keep a canine companion, buy this. If you don't, buy it anyway. It's a frank and funny look at the inside of a vet's point of view... (I'll give a plug for the funnyvet.com website too, which I've discovered because of this - a great lift to life).
  • The Swing of her Hips on Dec. 07, 2012

Slinky! I rarely venture into the romance field, but this was sufficiently non-fluffy to appeal and kept the 'steam' relevant and life-like. The characters well-drawn and human. curl up with your Kindle and a cuppa!
  • The Swing of her Hips on Dec. 07, 2012

forgot to put the stars - sorry!
  • The Incomplete Dog Book - Nothing You Ever Wanted To Know About Dogs Volume 1 on Dec. 07, 2012

oops forgot the star-rating - and anyway as a newcomer I find that there is Smashwords comment re 'long after purchase' - I like to think about the books I review and have limited access to i'net, therefore take several books at one go in case I run dry between visits!
  • The Disappearance of Douglas White: A Sally Nimitz Mystery (Book 2) on Dec. 07, 2012

I have read both the Nimitz Mysteries twice - this is good old fashined story telling and can be enjoyed for the characters and their responses as much for plot. top stuff and do hope there will be a followup before too long!
  • Framed for Murder on Dec. 07, 2012

This is rollicking good fun. Lead character is gutsy and just a tad annoying - which is balanced with an honesty and charm that disarms the reader. well written and would take another from this author
  • Observations with a Teacup on Dec. 07, 2012

...hhmm no, sorry, this wasn't for me. couldn't get past the first 3 pages.
  • Murder, Lies and Chocolate on Dec. 07, 2012

have had both the 'chocolate' books for a while now and throroughly enjoyed both. This is bright, modern, feisty and am definitely now suffering 'chocolate' withdrawal. Sally Berneathy, number 3 please!!!
  • Endless Joke on Dec. 07, 2012

endless yes. joke no. Not to my taste after all. that doesn't mean it won't suit others.
  • An Angel Named 'Dog' on Dec. 07, 2012

This was a 'gamble' for me as am not so much into the apocolyptic aftermath scene... but OMG! I agree with the first reviewer, BUY THIS BOOK. For all that it is harrowing this is written with an honesty and clarity that stuns and despite the potential to slip into the macabre, this veers just south of that enough to be profound and moving. I would definitely read more my this author.
  • Dog Aliens: Kaxian Duty - A Short Story on July 26, 2013

A super little intro to the Dog Aliens series - #1, Raffle's Name is a rollicking good read and I recommend after you've tasted this, you go mining for that piece of jex!!!
