Biography

Biography
When I was seven I almost died. I was playing at the backyard of my house in South Africa, and then I heard my grandfather tell me to stand still. Now, I had always listened to that wise man. I stood still for what seemed forever, but I learned later that it was only for a few minutes.

In any case, I waited for his permission to move. When I turned around, I saw my grandfather holding a shovel and on it was the severed head of a snake.

That was my introduction to the importance of communication.

Jump ahead years later and I am studying in America. Now, as they say, is the rest of the story.

I am a business and creative writer with an M.A. in Mass Communication from Iona College, New Rochelle, NY. I hold a B.A. in writing from Hamilton College, Clinton, NY. I had lots of fun writing a detective thriller, "The Night is My Dominion". It features Derek Tawarrior, "the warrior detective" first introduced in a series of short stories. It is out on Amazon. I am now working on the follow up to "Dominion", and the book is titled "Justice Has No Master”.

I am also interested in education and training issues. To that point, I have another book on Amazon titled “How You Can Write a Successful Master’s Thesis in 8 steps: The secret to Completing Your Master’s Degree in Mass Communication”. I just finished a guide on grant writing titled “ The Artist’s Guide To Free Money From The State”.
